10.02.06 Sharon Stone will come to Israel in March

Sharon Stone will visit Israel in March as a guest of the Peres Center for Peace. During her stay, Stone will take part in a women's conference in Holon and visit sites in Jerusalem, the Galilee and the Negev desert.

The actress said she was very interested in the Middle East and that she would use her visit to learn more about the region.

American director Terry Gilliam, (Monthy Python movies, "The Brothers Grim", "The Fisher King"), will be arriving to Israel on March 3 for the world premiere of "Diabolo", a theatre production by Russian artist Slava Polunin in which Gilliam is taking part.

-Two Israeli scripts have been selected to the Co-production Market of the Berlin Film Festival, which will take place in February: "The Lemon Tree" by Eran Riklis ("The Syrian Bride") and "The Mount of Adonai" by Avi Nesher ("Turn Left at the End of the World"), which is an adaptation of a novel by Italian writer Erri De Luca.
